18 Oct Road Map for October: Freshmen

Now that we’re a few months into the school year I hope you’ve been able to get into a routine that’s working for you, and are building strong relationships with your teachers.  I also hope you’re exploring the new opportunities that high school offers. If you were involved in clubs, sports and other activities in middle school that you enjoyed, it’s great to continue participating this year. You’re also probably hearing about new options that are available. I encourage 9th graders to check out lots of different extracurricular offerings to see what might be fun and interesting to you and where you might fit into them. Going to a meeting doesn’t have to mean a long-term commitment, but it can help you find new interests and get to know new people.
