Road Map for November: Seniors

I’ve been working with students to meet November deadlines—congratulations to those of you who got applications out the door by November 1 and best of luck to those whose first deadlines are coming up in the next week.  After this first round, give yourself a short break.  Then check to make sure the colleges have received your transcripts, test scores and recommendations and refocus for the regular decision cycle.

For those of you who took your last standardized tests this fall, your scores will be in soon and will help you categorize your schools based on admissibility (whether schools are in the likely, target or reach categories).  Then you can fill any gaps and finalize your list.  If you need suggestions for additional schools, email me for an appointment.  Fall is also a chance to do some final campus visits before applications are due; however, if you’re not able to travel right now, winter and spring visits can still be valuable.
