09 May Road Map for May: Freshmen

The most important criteria in college admission are your grades, and a strong finish in your classes over the next few weeks can help give you a strong start on your transcript. There’s still time to make a real impact, so see your teachers if you need extra help.  If you’re considering a tutor to prep for final exams, now is the time.

Looking beyond finals, do you have your summer plans lined up?  As you pursue your interests, whether through camp, work, classes or an internship, take this opportunity to update your resume or create one if you haven’t done so.  Include clubs, service, sports and other activities, and take some time to reflect on your year and how you can build on it this summer.  At the same time, don’t overschedule yourself.  It’s important to take a real break.
