09 May Road Map for May: Seniors

You’ve made your college decision and sent your deposit—congratulations! As you finish up with classes and exams, I hope you’re also planning lots of celebrations.  Enjoy this time, because it will fly by.

Remember to thank everyone who supported you along the way and let them know your fall plans.  Your school counselor in particular needs to know where to send your final transcript when year-end grades are ready.  There will also be lots of forms to fill out in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on your email (including your spam folder!) for additional instructions from your college. If you are still looking for college options for the fall, the National Association for College Admission Counseling has published this list of schools that are still accepting applications.  There may even be need-based or merit-based financial aid available.  Students interested in pursuing these options should apply as soon as possible; for additional guidance, contact me.
