04 Dec Road Map for December: Juniors
PSAT scores will be released next week and as students gear up for standardized tests, I’m pleased to be partnering with AdeptPrep Tutoring to offer Plan Ahead for Success! College Admission Testing for the Class of 2020. This free information session takes place Saturday, December 15 at the Cleveland Park Library and will help students choose the right exams, including the SAT, ACT and Subject Tests, develop a testing calendar and create a prep plan. If you can’t make the event, schedule an appointment and take advantage of our discount on individual testing plans through the end of 2018.
Remember when I suggested you block out dates throughout the year for campus tours even if you didn’t have schools in mind yet? Now it’s time to start choosing places to visit and booking your travel. It’s an especially good idea to schedule any tours you’re planning for spring break, as these weeks can fill up quickly. DCPS students also have two days after the MLK holiday with no classes, as well as a full week in February. Montgomery, Loudon and Fairfax County Public Schools all have days off that are not holidays as well; these are ideal visit days since you won’t have to miss school to see campuses when college classes are in session. If you need help deciding which schools to visit, contact me for a consultation.
