08 Nov Road Map for November: Seniors

Congratulations to all of you who submitted Early Action and Early Decision applications by November 1. Some of you are still working toward November 15 deadlines; if you need support in the homestretch, please contact me.

After you’ve hit submit, take a break—you’ve earned it!  Then once you’ve had a chance to catch your breath, turn your attention to your Regular Decision schools. Create a schedule for finishing each application to ensure you stay on track during this last phase. It’s especially nice to be able to enjoy Thanksgiving without worrying about applications—but only if you’re able to submit your best work by then. If you need more time to prepare polished applications and excellent essays, do not rush.

Your other task in the next few weeks is to keep an eye on your email and your spam folder for a confirmation email from each college you’ve applied to.  This email usually contains information about how to log in to the school’s portal.  This is where you’ll check to make sure your applications are complete, so you can follow up on any missing items.  It’s also where you’ll get your admission decisions later, so keep this information handy.
