13 Nov Road Map for November: Freshmen

I always tell students that the goal for 9th grade is to lay the foundation for a successful high school experience. As you go through high school, one of the best things you can do to ensure your success is to connect with people who will support and celebrate you.  Most students think of their friends first, of course, but it also includes others who can offer guidance and encouragement when you need it.  These might be teachers, coaches, club advisors, counselors, or even older students who have experiences behind them that you have ahead of you. Make an effort to get to know the people around you who will be in your corner along the way, and don’t be shy about asking questions. Most people will want to be helpful and share the wisdom they have gained.
