02 Jun Road Map for June: Class of 2025

Congratulations on finishing your first year of high school! I always tell students that the goal in 9th grade is to settle in and lay the foundation for a successful high school experience. Were you able to do that this year? If you set goals in the fall, were you able to make progress on them?

Summer is a great time to take stock of what went well and what you’d like to change. If you had goals for the year that weren’t met, are they things you could work on during the break? Whether it’s about putting effort into an activity you care about, trying something new or finding ways to connect with people, giving some thought to your hopes and making plans now will make it more likely you’ll get what you want out of your time off.
