13 Dec Road Map for December: Sophomores
If you took the PSAT, your scores are available now. While most 10th graders don’t need to start test prep yet, the scores offer useful information about your strengths and weaknesses and what you might want to work on for the rest of this year. Speaking of strengths and weaknesses, how were your first quarter grades? If you need a boost in any of your classes, this is a good time to consider getting a tutor. If you could use some help across the board, check out this study skills class offered in January by SmithRivas.
What are you doing outside of class? Start keeping track of your sports, clubs, and other activities so you can develop a resume or activities list later. If you’re looking for worthwhile ways to spend your time, there are plenty of service opportunities around the holidays. I’ll be highlighting a great DC-area program in my newsletter every month, and will post additional opportunities on my website. You can also find events and programs at All For Good.
