09 Oct Road Map for October: Sophomores

Many of you are taking the PSAT this week or next.  Good luck, but don’t let it stress you out.  These scores will never be shared with colleges, and you’ll have another dry run next fall before the real thing.

More important are some opportunities to learn about colleges in the next few weeks.  Check out this list of open house events within driving distance of DC, and save the date for my talk on college admissions on November 15 at the Hill Center.   Click here for more upcoming events, such as the National College Fairs in your area and, for students interested in the arts, the Performing and Visual Arts Fairs and National Portfolio Day events near you.

One task for parents: fill out the FAFSA4caster and review your college funding plan.  Financial aid documents for your current sophomore will be filled out using 2019 tax information, so contact your financial advisor now to see if there are any changes you should make before year-end.
