10 Mar Road Map for March: Freshmen
I’m hearing from 9th graders who are choosing their classes for sophomore year, and many of you have more decisions to make on coursework than you’ve had in previous grades. In general, colleges like to see students challenging themselves, so consider stepping up your level of academic rigor with some honors or AP classes. However, don’t take on so much that you’ll become overwhelmed. If you’re not sure whether you’re likely to do well in an advanced class you’re considering, your current teacher in that subject is a good resource for advice, since they’ll be familiar with your work as well as the curriculum. For additional guidance on course selection or other topics, I hope you’ll get in touch.
