Packages and Pricing

Claster Educational Services offers a comprehensive college counseling package designed to help students and their families navigate the process from the search phase through the final decision.  We also offer flexible options to meet your needs and budget, including a variety of mini-packages and an hourly rate.

  • Comprehensive Counseling Package

  • $5,000

This package may begin anytime after the completion of the student’s sophomore year of high school. The package includes:

    • assessing the student’s interests, strengths,needs and goals
    • reviewing transcripts and making recommendations on course selection
    • evaluating and advising on extracurricular activities
    • creating a plan for standardized tests
    • selecting summer programs and activities
    • preparing for campus visits
    • building a college list
    • creating a timeline for the application process
    • planning for letters of recommendation
    • developing strong applications
    • guiding the essay-writing process, from topic selection to final edits, for up to 10 schools. (Additional essay support is available for an additional fee.)
    • preparing for interviews
    • demystifying financial aid
    • deciding among admission and financial aid offers
    • developing waitlist strategies
  • Three-Year Comprehensive Counseling Package

  • $6,000

This package begins after the completion of the student’s 9th grade year and includes all the components of the Comprehensive Counseling Package.

  • Four-Year Comprehensive Counseling Package

  • $6,500

This package begins after the completion of the student’s 8th grade year and includes all the components of the Comprehensive Counseling Package.

Mini-packages

  • Comprehensive Essay Package

  • $3,000

This package provides comprehensive assistance for preparing all admission essays for up to ten schools. It takes the student through brainstorming, topic selection, drafting, revising and final edits.  Support for additional essays is available for an additional fee.  Please note: The counselor’s role is to advise and coach the student on essay content, writing style and mechanics. Counselors will not write an essay or any portion of an essay for a student.

  • Essay Support Package

  • $1,200

This package provides assistance for preparing a personal statement and up to three school-specific writing supplements.  It takes the student through brainstorming, topic selection, drafting, revising and final edits.  Support for additional essays is available for an additional fee.  Please note: The counselor’s role is to advise and coach the student on essay content, writing style and mechanics. Counselors will not write an essay or any portion of an essay for a student.

  • College List Package

  • $1,200

The counselor will assess the student’s interests, strengths, needs and goals, review transcripts, standardized tests and extracurricular activities, and recommend 5-15 colleges for the student to consider applying to. This package may be initiated after the end of the student’s sophomore year.

  • Foundation Package

  • $1,000

This package is designed for 9th and 10th graders and includes up to three individual counseling sessions.  We conduct an assessment of the student’s interests, strengths, needs and goals; review and assess course selection, grades, extracurricular and summer activities; develop a preliminary plan for standardized testing; and provide a general overview of financial aid.

  • Transition Package

  • $800

This package provides support for the student from high school graduation through the first semester of college or alternatively, the end of the calendar year.  It includes up to three individual counseling sessions on matters such as selecting housing, course registration, time management, extracurricular activities, financial literacy, accessing resources on campus and gap year plans.

  • Hourly Rate

  • $200

Most services are also offered by the hour.  Please contact us to discuss your needs and an estimate of the time and cost anticipated to meet them.
